Christmas “The Big Wrap”

Tuesday Dec. 9th 6pm-9pm

Sunrise Church in Rialto

During the Christmas Holiday we provide Christmas for about 100 families who have a child currently in cancer treatments. Each of these families  a grocery gift card to purchase perishable items. Along with this we give each  minor  sibling in the family 4-6 wrapped new toy gifts. We utilize a large volunteer team of 300 people to make Christmas happen for these families. We have a night of volunteers wrapping gifts, placing batteries in toys to make sure that the toy works and boxing food items. Christmas is delivered to these families  who live all over the Southern California area.

Other Ways We Get Involved

hospital visits

Hospital Visits

Due to Covid-visiting is not as often.
We will start our visitation again hopefully soon.
Each month a group of volunteers visit Kaiser Hospital Fontana children’s ward. Kaiser Hospital has a Oncology Pediatric ward as well as the regular Pediatric ward. We give away stuffed toys, hats, snacks, candy, and holiday gifts to the kids in the hospital as well as any siblings that may be visiting.
Things We Give Away
    Puppets

Hand puppets are great for babies and pediatric nurses. We also give away “baby” toys.

    Hats

Hats play an important role in our give away. We look for donations of different & unique hats. These are reserved for the very sick children who maybe experiencing hair loss, etc.

    Stuffed Animals

Stuffed animals are given to all the hospitalized children & to any siblings that may be visiting at our distribution time.

    Books

Children love to read or have someone to read to them. Books are a very welcome and needed donation.

    Valentines

We give each child, siblings, parent, nurses and Doctors valentine cards and chocolate candy. This is always a fun visiting day for everyone in the Pediatric wards.

    Easter Baskets

Easter baskets are delivered filled with holiday treasures. These always put smiles on the faces of children.

    Mother's and Father's Day Gifts

Mother’s & Father’s Day Gifts: During the months of May & June we give the ped’s patients Mother and Father’s day gifts to give to their parents along with a stuffed toy for their self.
